The 2027 Presidential candidate and philanthropist, Dr. Mohammed Bashir Lamido, expresses profound distress over the recurring ethnic and religious violence in Plateau State.
"The federal and state governments' failure to address the root causes of these clashes for over two decades has left communities devastated".
Dr. MB Lamido said this in a statement issued by his official spokesperson, Amb. Abdullahi Isah, to newsmen in Abuja. According to the statement, Dr. Bashir Lamido noted that recent attacks in Bokkos starkly remind us of President Bola Tinubu's administration's inability to provide adequate security for Nigerians. The incessant attacks on Hausa Fulani people, particularly in Jos South, Bukur, Barikin Ladi, and other areas, are unacceptable.
"I am dismayed that President Tinubu's administration has not taken sufficient proactive measures to ensure the security and well-being of these citizens," he said.
As a patriotic politician and business leader, Dr. Bashir Lamido pledges to support victims of these communal conflicts with humanitarian aid and other assistance to alleviate their suffering.
He furthermore calls on the Federal and State governments to take immediate action to address the root causes of the violence in Plateau and other States. Dr. Lamido urges well-meaning Nigerians to join him in supporting victims of these communal conflicts.
Dr. Bashir Lamido appeal Nigerians to consider alternative leadership options in 2027, as the current administration has not effectively addressed these issues. Specifically, he advocates for voting out both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to pave the way for fresh leadership and save Nigeria from its current predicament.
