NSCDC: AMINU DATTI AHMAD TAKES OVER AS NEW KATSINA STATE COMMANDANT

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Katsina State Command has received a new State Commandant appointed to take over the mantle of leadership of the command, last Monday 6th January, 2025. The new NSCDC Commandant CC Aminu Datti Ahmad took over from CC Jamilu Abdu Indabawa.
In his remarks during the handover ceremony that witnessed the presentation of flag and documents, the immediate past NSCDC Katsina State Commandant expressed much appreciation and thanks to the Almighty Allah for given him the opportunity to ruled the command successfully and seized the opportunity to appreciate the officers and men of the Command for the immense support they extended to him during his leadership as the State Commandant. Indabawa also, appeals the personnel of the Command to extend the same support and cooperation, more commitments and dedication in executing the command mandate to their new State Commandant.
In his address, CC Aminu Datti Ahmad extolled Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR commitments and leadership in a bid to ensure the fulfilment of the Corps' vision, mission and its mandates as enacted by law.
CC Datti, further assured His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Ummaru Radda PhD, CON and the good people of the state of his unflinching commitments to ensure adequate Security, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, safety of our schools, improved disaster and crisis management among others.
Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad hails from Gwale in Kano State. He attended Jarkasa Special Primary School and Government Secondary School Gwale for his Secondary Education.
Datti, the hardworking and dedicated Senior Officer proceeded to the Prestigious Bayero University Kano where he bagged his Bachelor of Art combined Honours in Mass Communication/Hausa, between the year 1996 - 1999.He also further obtained his Masters Degree in Crime Management Prevention and Control ( 2005).
The seasoned Security Officer holds professional membership certificates with many renowned institutes and organizations such as: Institute of Investigation and Intelligence Forensic Studies (2018) and Association of Disaster Managers without Boarders (2022).
He served in different Commands/ Formations across the country and in various capacities in our dear and highly esteem Service.He served as Chief Security Officer to late Emir of Kano Alh Ado Bayaro, Divisional Officer in Dala and Tarauni divisional Offices,(2006,2007), 2i/c Operations (2009),Head Counter Terrorism Unit(2010), Head of Intelligence and Investigation Department of Kano State Command (2015), Officer Commanding Armed Squad Unit(2016), Camp Commandant (2016), and Deputy Commandant Students Affairs at College for Peace and Disaster Management Katsina.
He attended international capacity building programs to boost his career development and they include: Diploma in Kidnapping Investigation at Directorate of Police and Civil Guards Madrid Spain (2010), Certificate in suicide attacks and Preventive Strategies at Police Academy Ankara Turkey (2015) among others.He is married and blessed with children. His hobbies include: horse ridding, volleyball and traveling, according to the press release signed by State Command Public Relations Officer SC Buhari Hamisu.
