"Honestly speaking, we here at FAAN Katsina will not say anything regarding the way in which the intended pilgrims Airlifts to Saudi Arabia from Katsina state  was carried out in this year 2024 successfully. The system that has been brought to it, especially the way  Amirul Hajj  the former Deputy Governor Alhaji Tukur Jikamshi was determined to see that the operations was carried out as planned. Of course, Amirul Hajji worked side by side with other officials of the board including Chairman of the Board Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai and the Executive Director Alhaji  Yunusa Dankama and other stakeholders of the operations in most cases they come to the Airport when the pilgrims are about to board for their journey to Saudia. Almost no plane will leave without seeing these leaders or their representatives.
The General Manager who said, among the plans that impressed them the most and made their work easier included bringing the pilgrims to the field in time to take them to Saudi Arabia.  "Money was paid at the main gate for any vehicle that comes in, especially during this time of Hajj, but as we saw it, the Amirul Hajj took action on our complaint in one of the meetings we held with them, that is, the crowds of people who come to fill the field and sometimes even more than the pilgrims, and this is where the pilgrims are brought some goods that are forbidden to travel with them  This time we gave up on those few incomes that we were respond to collect, and in fact, action was taken and it was very effective".
Turning to the current situation of the airport, especially in the section where passengers are greeted before boarding, Alhaji Usman said, after he complained to their national office, within a short time, improvements were made such as installing air conditioners in the waiting rooms and good seats, repairing the circulation areas, and increasing the opportunity to start their engines during the departure of the plane that will take up.
"I went to KEDCO in Katsina where we talked to them that, even if it is not the time to give us the power, if the plane that will take the people will come, I should call them an hour before  They will give us power until it goes up, and we did that even though sometimes we had to turn on our big generators because of the low current of power."
The General Manager said that he was very satisfied with the way this year's work was conducted, especially in terms of security, where he praised every department of the security officers who worked in their fields.  "Even the soldiers who are in the airport have given their contribution to make our work safe. On the other hand, the department where the important guests are greeted, we have had the opportunity to use it to prepare them for the senior officials of the Pilgrim Welfare Board to stay in  when being transported before the departure of the plane and without the receiving  a penny as the location is known".
In the end, Alhaji Usman Lawal Usman, General Manager of Umaru Musa 'Yar' Aduwa Airport, after he congratulated the Governor of the state, Malam Umar Dikko Radda, for his contribution in making the operations successful, he also hoped for cooperation and support.  back together and follow the ways that were followed and succeeded in bringing the people to the holy land in a successful and orderly manner, and also in the times of their return.  Then he called on other people, especially those who will come to welcome the pilgrims when they return home.  "We hope that law and order will be followed so that the work will be successfully completed here as was done during their departure", said Alhaji Usman Lawal Usman, General Manager of Umaru Musa 'Yar'aduwa FAAN Airport in the Katsina.
