 Hajj 2024: AIRLIFT OPERATIONS 'II BE IMPROVE IN KATSINA - FAAN

"... after last 2023 Hajj operations, lot of lapsis has been experienced by the airport management" 
A commitee has been set up by the Manager Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport under Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to visit Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board ahead of 2024 Hajj Operations which will take place very soon. 
According to the leader of the committee who is also the head of operation of the Authority Jabir Mannir said, the aims of the visit is base on the analysis after last 2023 Hajj operations, there are lot of lapsis which has been experienced by the airport that's why the manager of the airport decided to formed the committee as part of proactive measures before the commencement of this year Hajj operation the airlift.
The Authority commended State Pilgrims Welfare Board for the tireless effort for the Successful Hajj operations during the last year's Hajj exercise,adding that the senagy they have last year is commendable.
The airport committee further said there are a lot of problems especially when it is related to Hajj operations therefore one hand can not take the task they have to join hand together to see a successful 2024 Hajj operations.
On his respond on behalf of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board the Executive Director Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama expressed appreciation for the visit from FAAN Katsina Airport and commended the management for setting that committee for that purpose. 
 According the statement signed by Board's Public Relations Officer Alhaji Badaru Bello Karofi, Dankama assured the Katsina Airport Authority of the boards readiness to always cooperate and support  the management for the Successful Hajj operations. He further told the committee that the board received about 4,500 Hajj seat from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON) this year and able to register over 2,600 intending pilgrims from the State.
The executive Director also told them that as part of the preparation for the exercise, the board already secured pilgrims accomodations, caterers and other Hajj services for the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. On the visa issue, the Executive Director said the board is able to produce about 50 percent of visas issuing among other preparations. 
   Among those who spoke during that visit was the chairman of the board Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai who expressed appreciation to the Airport Management for forming the committee and assured them that the board will give them all the necessary support and cooperation during this 2024 Hajj operations.
