February 2024: POLICE IN KATSINA ARREST 188 SUSPECTS, 49 CHARGE TO COURT AND RESCUE 72 KIDNAP VICTIMS

In its monthly abreast to the press, Katsina State Police command under leadership of CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, psc(+) highlight its achievements from. 1st February to 29th,2024.
According to the statement by the Command Public Relations Officer ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu said that, about fifty nine(59)cases of major crimes such as armed robbery, kidnapping, culpable homicide, cattle rustling and others were reported of which fourty nine(49) were charged to court out of total number of one hundred and eighty eight(188) who were arrested.
Also in the statement, there are thirteen (13) suspected Armed Robbers, 12 murder suspects and 19 suspected rapist.
" A total number of forty-two (42) suspects were arrested for various offences such as criminal force, intimidation, inciting disturbance and belonging to gang of brigands, among others, while the Command succeeded in rescuing 72 kidnapped victims and also recovered 562 rustled animals.
Another achievement from the command was the arrest of one Mustapha Abba of Malunfashi Local Government suspended notorious car thief, also in connection with a case of theft of a motor vehicle. Mustapha was arrested at Zaria Road Kano in a possession of a reported stole motor vehicle of which one Nura Hussain of Kasuwar Mata Funtua reported to the Area Command Funtua of his disappearing Golf 3 Saloon with registration number USL 31 AG on 19th February, 2024 at his residence. Mustapha suspected to conspired with Aliyu Haladu of Kasuwar Mata Funtua and Ashiru Ibrahim now at large.
