KANWAN KATSINA APPEAL THE GOVERNMENT TO TRAIN AND RETRAIN HEALTH PERSONNEL

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni has commended the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation NDIC for Constructing an ultramodern maternity ward in Kankara General hospital.
The Monarch made the commendation during the offical Commissioning of the 20 bed capacity maternity Ward constructed by the NDIC as part of thier corporate social responsibility project CSR.
The District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni then called for training and retraining of health personnel of which according to him will go along way in moving the health sector forward in line with the current State Administration agenda.
The traditional ruler commended Governor Dikko Radda Administration for embarking on massive open recruitment of health personnel across the state and advised that casual staff will be given preference in the process.
Alh. Usman Bello Kankara mni advice hospital management and the hospital friends committee to effectively utilize the structure and safeguard it against dilapidation and vandalism.
The Kanwan Katsina further called on the NDIC to extend similar gesture at Ketare Comprehensive Health Center in his domain.
The royal father appealed to the state government and other corporate organizations and individuals to assist the hospital with more structures and equipments for effective service delivery.
Present at the event are the representative of Governor Dikko Umaru Raddah, the Commissioner for health Dr. Bashir Gambo Saulawa, General Manager Hospital Service Management Board Dr. Sabi'u Liadi, Permanent Secretary Ministry of health Dr. Ahmed Tijjani Hamza and Permanent Secretary Ministry for Youth and Sports Development Alh. Surajo Mika'ilu.
Others include representative of NDIC from Kano Zonal office, Commissioner for Special Duties Hon. Isa Mohammed Musa, representatives of Hospital Friends among others.
