GOVERNOR RADDA ASSURES STRICT ADHERENCE TO 2024 BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURE

Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has officially signed the 2024 budget into law following its swift passage by the State House of Assembly. The budget, totaling ₦454,308,862,113.96, was signed into law at the Government House chamber in the presence of the State Chief Judge, Justice Musa Danladi, Grand Khadi Dr. Kabir Abubakar, legislative members, and the State Executive Council.
Expressing gratitude, Governor Radda thanked the State Assembly for their expeditious approval, completed within 33 days of careful scrutiny. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the State Deputy Governor, executive council members, and all contributors to the budget-making process.
Governor Radda assured strict adherence to budget implementation procedures, emphasizing resource allocation based on needs and priorities. He appealed for continued cooperation from the legislature, emphasizing the importance of working closely with government agencies.
Governor Radda highlighted legislative achievements, including the passage of ten executive bills within the last seven months. These bills encompassed critical areas such as Assets Management, Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, and the establishment of the Irrigation Authority.
On the security front, Governor Radda shared positive news, stating that the state's insecurity level has reduced by over sixty percent. He acknowledged ongoing efforts to address challenges in Danmusa, Kankara, and other affected areas while reaffirming the government's commitment to resolving long-standing issues affecting the state.
