GOVERNOR DIKKO RADDA INAUGURATES 11 MEMBERS COMMITTEE FOR HOSTING NATIONAL COUNCIL ON ENVIRONMENT MEETING IN KATSINA

      The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD has set up 11member Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the meeting of the National Council On Environment to be held in Katsina.

  According to the press release signed by Abdullahi Aliyu Yar'adua Director Press Office of the State Secretary, Inaugurating the Committee on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari said that,the 17th National Council meeting on the Environment was scheduled to take place between 11th and 16th December, 2023.
 Barrister Abdullahi Faskari said the LOC is to liaise with the Main Organising Committee to determine the number of delegates and other participants coming to Katsina for the meeting.

 "The Committee also is to source and provide befitting accomodation and transport facilities to the delegates and participants of the meeting. Other terms of reference of the Committee include provision of adequate publicity and security for the meeting.

Eleven members of the LOC were the Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua as chairman, Permanent Secretary Political and Common Services Alhaji Abubakar Gege is the Vice Chairman of the committee, while Permanent Secretaries from Ministries of Environment, Alhaji Muntari Kado, Agriculture and Livestock Development, Alhaji Muhd Rabi'u Muhd Health (Tertiary Institution), Hajia Safiya Ya'u Yamel, Works, Housing and Transport, Mannir Talba to serve as members.

  Others include Permanent Secretary Cabinet and Security, SGS office, Alhaji Salisu Abdu, Executive Director, SEPA, Alhaji Kabir Amoga, Director Protocol, Alhaji Isa Duwan, DAS, office the Head of Civil Service of the State, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi and Nura Ibrahim from the SGS office would served as the secretary of the Committee.
