Katsina : YSFON READY TO BOOST SPORTS AT THE GRASSROOT
Chairman Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria Katsina State Chapter has assured to corporate with Katsina State Government to boost sports development at the grassroots.
The newly elected Chairman Alhaji Aminu Mohammed Wali made the disclosure while interacting with newsmen in his office in Katsina. He pointed out that Katsina State is blessed with abundanttalents that can deliver in all aspects of human Endeavour if they are properly utilized.
Alhaji Aminu Mohammed however said YSFON has implemented various sports for different cadre mostly students who were opportuned to secure National and International call ups from various football clubs across Europe.
The Chairman also expressed worry on the deteriorating nature of sports development in the Northern part of the country which he attributed to lack of commitment and financial support from the relevant sports stakeholders and authorities.
Alhaji Aminu Wali therefore appealed to the present administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda to appoint capable hands who have the vast experience in sports to man the affairs of the Sports Ministry and its Agencies. He however congratulated Katsina United Football Club for securing promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League in only one season and prayed for a successful outing in the twenty twenty three/twenty-twenty four football league season.
