KATSINA GOVERNMENT DISBURSE RELIEF ASSISTANT TO THE VICTIMS OF BAKORI BANDITS ATTACK

The committee for the disbursement of relief assistant to the victims of bandits attack by Katsina State Government has visited Bakori local government.The committee headed by the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Governor Masari Honourable Kabir Sha'aibu Charanci said the assistance was inform of  cash and food items. 
According to him, it was estimated that seventy two people have lost their lives during the bloody encounter with the bandits in four wards of Bakori local government. Honourable Sha'aibu Charanci said there are twelve people who were critically injured while sixteen others sustained various degrees of injuries. A total number of one hundred people were listed as   victims of the bandit attack from that four wards of the local governments. The wards are Guga,Kandarawa, Jargaba and Kakumi. The chairman of the committee Honourable Charanci said, "each of the families of the seventy two people killed were given two hundred thousand naira each while those who sustain injuries were given one hundred thousand naira each.
"In addition to the cash assistance, the state government has purchase bags of maize,Guinea corn,millets  and rice for distribution to the slained people. Each family will be given three bags of the grains as food assistance". The special adviser Honourable Kabir Sha'aibu Charanci noted that because of the cashless policy, the families of the victims will recieve their money through bank account and asked the beneficiaries to summit their bank details to the committee for successful transfer of the money to their various banks. The committee chairman also extends Governor Aminu Masari's condolences to the families of the deceased for the second time and prayed Allah for the speedy recovery of injured ones. Honourable Shu'aibu Charanci explained that the assistance given to the families include the financial assistance given by Bola Tinubu  to the victims of bandit attack across Katsina State. 
According to him to ensure that the families of the victims are adequately assisted additional  money and food items were given by the state government to increase the amount  given for the distribution. He then called on the families of the deceased to continue praying and seek for Allah protection from all evil. The chairman led a special Prayer for the repose of the soul of those killed and to also give the family the  fortitude to bear the loss.
The council chairman of Bakori local government  Alhaji Ali Maicitta thanked the State Governor for the timely assistance given to the families of the victims and hoped that more assiatance will come from the federal government.
