2023 Hajj - KATSINA STATE PWB SET N1.5 MILLION AS DEPOSIT FARES AND FIRST COME FIRST SERVE PROCESS

The Katsina state Pilgrims Welfare Board has begins the collection of 2023 Hajj fare deposits from intending Pilgrims for the exercise. According to press release signed by the Board Public Relations Officer Alhaji Badaru Bello Karofi, the Executive Director of the Board, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki said the commencement of the collection of deposit fare was sequel to the approval given by Executive Governor of the Katsina State Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari for the board to kick up for the 2023 hajj preparations, registration and collection of deposits throughout the state.
The Executive Director Suleiman said that, the intending pilgrims are to pay N1.5 million as minimum deposit at the point of registration, and top up another N1 million to make it N2.5 million deposit by January ending, and all payments are to be made through a certified bank draft payable to Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
As it was said in the release by the PRO, the registration exercise which will be strictly base on first come first serve will be conducted at the Seven Zonal offices of the board, that is, Katsina, Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, Kankia, Daura and Mani, respectively.
Alhaji Sulemain further explained that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has directed all States Pilgrims Welfare Board to begins the registration of intending Pilgrims for 2023 Hajj pending issuance of guidelines and slots allocations to states The Executive Director then urges intending Pilgrims to contact official designated Zonal Pilgrims offices of the board for any transaction to avoid illicit activities.
If we can recall, this is the second times the board is going to conduct the operations since the occurred of the Covid-19 all over the world. The Katsina PWB at its first operation of 2022, the board became the first in many ways of which lead it to received 5 different awards for its performances.
