INEC TASK JOURNALIST ON VOTERS EDUCATION REGISTRATION

The Independent National Electoral Commission Jigawa State office is to move in to communities for five days sensitization of voters for registration to ensure the smoth conduct of 2023 general election .
The Resident electoral commissioner Jigawa state Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar has said journalist in the state are expected to support the commission in achieving their target demand .
Saying their main challenge is to assist people to check their name and their pictures at their registration centres to ensure that every thing is intact correctly for them to get the right of voting during election for their choice .
Assured that the list of those register will be seeing in each of the political ward.
Adding that INEC has made adquate arrangement on how to facilitate the voting process to assist people living with disablities. According to him the law stated that the people living with disablity has the special consideration.
Explained further that the media remain one of the major stakeholders in partnership with the commission in the discharge of it's reponsibilities .
The Commissioner will print and display the preliminary register of the voters at registration area level and INEC at local government office in all the 27 council area of the state
Adding that the register will also be displayed on the commission official website with the following link www.inenigeria.org/display-register to enable the registrant to view the displayed preliminary the register of voters of their PUS on the website to select their state,ward,and their polling units and click Display in which the list of voters in that PU will be displayed for scruttiny.
Adding that the exercise will last for only fourteen days from 9=00am to 3=00 pm each day
