FUD ASUU ORGANISE PEACEFUL PROTEST DEMAND 8 MONTH SALARY PAYMENTS

The Academic staff union of University ,Federal University Dutse has organised peaceful protest to expressed their sadness .
The chairman of the union Comrade Bashir Yusuf who lead the protest after holding meeting with his members to Senate building said they condemned and rejected the casualization of work and call on the government to pay their full salaries and allowances
Comr Bashir said the federal Government decide to pay ASUU members the salary of October 2022 on a pro rata basis making to be part time or casual workers. He condemned the action ,saying it is against all conventional laws ,the international labour laws and the civil service rules ."Academic staff are full-time workers whose nature of work is with some peculiarities that make them not the 8, -00-4.00pm civil servants university lecturing is an all time job that covers class teaching Reseach and community service therefore we cannot be paid on pro rata or even have of our salaries withheld on the basic of a legal strike ,even after it was suspended. If Federal government failed to pay our eight month salaries we will go back for another strike", said by Comr Bashir.
