APC SECURITY COMMITTEE SEEK NSCDC SUPPORT

Katsina State APC Campaign Council Security and Intelligence Committee paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at State Command Headquarters, Katsina on the 17th November, 2022 led by DIG M.A. Dikko (rtd) fdc and some members of the 25-members committee which was composed of mostly retired security officers. Mr Dikko intimated the Commandant and his management team that they were at the Command Headquarters to formally introduced themselves and inform the commandant on the mandate of the committee in respect of the gubernatorial and presidential elections coming up during the 2023 general election.
According to the Director of the Committee, the core mandate of the Committee is to collaborate with security agencies to ensure peaceful elections across Katsina State during the general election. He reiterated that APC is a peaceful party and will operate under the guidance of all the enabling laws and acts as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the 2022 electoral act and party’s constitution amongst other enabling laws. The press release signed by the Command's spoke person DSC Muhammed Tukur Abdara, DIG Dikko appreciated the efforts of the Command in the protection of lives and properties of the people of Katsina State, and further solicited for the non-partisan assistance of the Command in maintaining law and order before, during and after the elections.
NSCDC State Commandant Muhammed Sanusi Bello psc+ assured the Committee of the readiness of the command to maintain law and order during the general election. The Commandant also admonished the party and their supporters to maintain decorum and conduct themselves according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for a clean, clear and peaceful election. Commandant Bello assures the Committee of the commitment of the Command to support all stakeholders to operate peacefully within the ambit of the law for a free and fair electioneering process.
