IGP to Police: ESCHEW BRIBERY AND OTHER ACTS OF UNPROFESSIONALISM

Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, CFR, urged the newly promoted officers to be discipline, loyal and hardworking, while at the same time admonished them to eschew indolence, complacency, bribery, corruption and other acts of unprofessionalism, noting that with this promotion more responsibilities are being placed on their shoulders, as the saying goes "To whom much is given much is expected". 
The Inspector-General said this through Commissioner of Police Katsina State Command CP Idris Dauda Dabban, psc(+) during decoration of eight newly promoted Superintendent of police with their new ranks of Chief Superintendent of police at the Police Command Headquaters, Katsina on 18th October, 2022.
 The affected officers are ; Ayuba Dokur Danjuma, Alhaji Hassan Musa, Abubakar Muhammad Wakili, Ahmadu Joka Lawal and Silas O Itatu. Others include, Ya'u Idris Usman, Ladidi Saude and Shafa atu Usman. 
 Witnessed the ceremony are members of the Command management team, Area Commanders, Heads of Departments and relations of the newly promoted officers. CP Dabban congratulated them on behalf of the Inspector-General. 
On behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Silas O. Itatu, Divisional Police Officer GRA, Katsina, thanked Almighty Allah for the blessings of life and good health to witness these promotion. Furthermore, he thanked the Inspector-General of Police and the Police service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion and he promised to redouble their efforts in the ongoing onslaught against Banditry and other forms of crime and criminality in the state.
